I’m buying this tomorrow

Tuesday, June 30th, 2009

This trailer Gametrailers dropped today secures the fact that I’m buying BlazBlue for my 360 tomorrow.  I don’t see how I can’t.

And to those of you where were going to say “but Adam, do you really need another Fighting game on your 360?” I have only one thing to say.

Um… yes? Yes I need the spiritual successor to Guilty Gear on my 360. Why would there be doubt?

Darksiders new trailer

Monday, June 29th, 2009

At the 2008 E3 I saw two games I couldn’t wait to play – Prototype and Darksiders:Wraith of War.  Prototype has since come out, and turned to be better than I hoped it was.   Now Darksiders will come out sometime this year as well, and I’m hoping this dark game manages to successfully meld God of War with The Legend of Zelda the way it looked like it would in E3 last year.  I found this new trailer that rekindled my excitement for it, so I thought I’d share it.   Enjoy!

Another Flash Game: Heavy Weapons

Thursday, June 11th, 2009

Hey check out Kongregate with Heavy Weapons.  This is another fun one, more of a top-down kill-them-all shooter, kinda like Geometry Wars with a dash of Ikaruga.  I especially had fun playing this one with a Metroid remix by Arm Cannon playing in the background.

You may also note I’ve created a new Post category called “Flash games.”  I’ve noticed with increased frequency I’ve been posting links to cool flash games, so I thought they deserved their own category.  I’ve gone back through and moved appropriate posts to this category as well.

Speaking of E3…

Wednesday, June 3rd, 2009

There’s been a lot of exciting announcements this year, but for me, nothing has me as facinated as Nintendo’s secret reveal yesterday: a new Metroid game that’s NOT a Metroid Prime game.  Even Penny Arcade agrees that it’s pretty sweet. You don’t have to take my word for it though, watch the trailer yourself:

Idle Hands

Wednesday, June 3rd, 2009

Work’s been slow lately.  Rather than continue to drool over E3 news again and again, I decided to try and force myself to do some original web design work (Since work doesn’t really ask me to design anymore) using some Art I lifted from the D&D4 site.  You can view the results below:
