Not sure why there isn't any posts in here yet <_<.

Anyway, I've recently reinstalled and been dinking around with this game (ya'know, since it's now in the for  $5.68. It's rekindled a lot of the fond memories and joy I had playing the game the first time. It's an *incredibly* over-the-top GTA-clone, and for me at least that's a good thing. I found GTA IV unbearable after the first hour or so, but these larger-than-life weapons with the absolutely ridiculous things the Saints keep doing have me lauging a lot. That, and Nitro Boosts on a garbage truck.

The big update I had is that you can totally have multiple separate save slots for separate playthroughs/characters, so my biggest fear of re-starting and losing all my old character's data as a result is no longer a thing. The Campaign/story-mode is like 99% co-op'able or soloable. And the way they do it is pretty clever too for making sure no spoilers occur, as long as the player who is further behind is hosting.

If this game didn't have a campaign I'd still be playing it.  However After the mission where Zemous druged my character and pretended to put her up for auction as a sex slave so I could sneak into an enemy gang stronghold, I couldn't stomach it anymore.  It doesnt help that this happened while Kitty was watching so yeah, ouch.  Thanks to that moment of completely bad taste I don't see myself every playing this again.

It really is a shame the game had to go quite so far with it's immaturity.  It had just managed to go from "this is okay... but not that good" to "oh my god this game is fun" right before that happened and now it's more or less ruined.

I really wish Volition could go back to making Descent or Freespace instead of these >.>
