I've seen the video already.  This bug is awful.  Painfully awful.  It is nearly inexcusable for it to have taken them this long to find it.

Okay I'm just gonna come out and say this because I don't know how to say it nicely.

Stuff Inc has dropped the ball.

Did this actually happen?  Is anyone here actually in this guild?  Does it actually exist?  Does it have a point to existing or am I doomed to play this game by myself for the rest of my subscription.  I'm reading a lot of mixed, disorganized things on their board but I cannot make sense of them and anyone worth talking to about it never seems to be on when I'm on.

Seriously, someone explain to me what's going on here or I'm either unsubscribing or switching to B'harroth's server tonight.  I did not buy this game to grind 50 levels by myself, I do not nearly like it that much.

Additionally could the members of Gameknights playing please add at least their main to the character page.  I don't care if you update it, I just at least could use your character name for reference.

Hey Vergil, I'm EXTREMELY sorry for all the chaos and confusion.  Because SI didn't have actual leadership or organisation, news about what happens to it ends up getting really scattered. (Everyone being of equal 'power' doesn't always quite work out the way you figure it would in a guild.)

A lot of folks in SI started feeing the old RP itch and wanted to have another go at seriously RPing again - so we 'rerolled' the guild into a more serious sounding one called Acquisitions Unlimited because it sounded 1% less silly then "Stuff Incorporated".  I tried to find you so we could invite you into the new guild, but you were never online at the same time I was.  (Monkey said something about how you were really busy in real life?)  In hindsight, I probably should've just sent you a PM on the AS forums, but I was dumb and figured the second you popped on in-game, someone online would just snap you up.... which wouldn't actually happen if you logged on, no one was online, and was left entirely alone trying to figure out what the heck happened.   (Which is what I'm assuming happened. x_o;  I'm so sorry.)

Unfortunately, I should be honest in that I don't think "Acquisitions Unlimited" will really go anywhere either.  It's starting to become clear really, really quickly that: 1) There aren't actually as many of us playing this game as we thought. 2) Because we all actually working/are married/have families/have lives now, we're not gaming as frequently as we used to back in WoW.  The guild feels really empty 85% of the time.  I admittedly am having way more fun in the huge RP guild my two Jedi alts are in then AU just because there are always at least 10 people on at a time, so I'm considering just sticking with that one.  Having a guild in SWTOR isn't really working out the way it did in WoW.

Before the game was released, there was a lot of talk and excitement over it, but that seems to have died down now and some folks have even gotten bored or found the Imperial side to be more interesting then the Republic, which means the already small group of people are scattered even further.  I thought it was basically going to be like AS in Space only without me having to actually be a guild leader or be responsibile for anything, but that's just not how things are working out.

Long story short - I feel really guilty for reassuring you pre-launch that there would be plenty of people playing when now it looks like there probably won't be.  :/  I'll completely understand if you're irritated or angry over how this worked out.  Especially since you're now stuck on an RP server when you don't really like RPing and have to decide whether to quit the game or jump servers.  There will always still be people in the SIOOC channel, but I can understand how a bunch of people in a custom channel doesn't really amount to the same thing as an active guild.

Thank you for posting Luri.  I appreciate you taking the time to explain the situation for me and bring me up to speed instead of just leaving me to figure it out.

Two things happened.  First from Dec 23rd through Jan 2nd I was out of state for the Holiday seeing friends and family.  Since the whole goal of the trip was to see friends and family, I thought it would be grossly inappropriate for me to have spent any significant amount of time on an MMO, so I didn't bother logging on during that time (also you know, traveling - kinda hard to loggin to an MMO while you're on the bus from Chicago) - especially since the people I was visiting generally were not SWTOR players.

Then when I came home work blew up.  Big Time (I wrote up a thing explaining what happened here).  Long story short I have yet to not work on a weekend this year, and I've been lucky this week that I haven't had to work extra hours yet.  The last thing I wanted to do when I got home was log on to such a time-consuming game. Also Kitty's younger brother became an unwelcome room mate (story here), meaning my availability for gaming shrunk because of that too.

I recognize that on some level it is my fault for not being here to be made aware of the changing situation, so I don't blame you for that.  That said I do feel frustrated at the situation since I did pretty much pre-order the game on the premise that there would be a group of people to play with when I got in and that does not seem to be the case.  It's bad enough we bailed on the auto-guild we had set up before, but I don't see a reason to continue to follow that group's flip flopping trek across whatever servers/sides/whatever is going on.

So yeah, uh, I don't know where does everyone else playing stand on this?   At this point I'm looking for a place to live in this game least I unsubscribe.  Any ideas?  I might actually make the time to be on vent for some of the evening if people wanna talk about this vocally.

God damn it why do I have suck horrid luck with this shit in MMOs.

Personally, I find myself not playing the game as much. My Bounty Hunter has gone from 27-30 based solely on ship space combat missions. I only play my Sith Warrior with a friend as we're duoing through the game, and since Tya isn't nearly as much of a gamer as she used to be (i.e. she no longer plays an MMO) and my Thursdays are spoken for, I can't be MMOing very much during the week. Saturday morning are usually free, but her new posting means it's only every other Saturday now. I've started work on a Republic character, Khaelan, but that will be intermitent.

I suppose I still feel I'm getting my entertainment value from the game for 15 a month, but even if I guild up it will likely be in a not-AS guild.

Come to think of it, I don't think I joined Stuff Inc. or Acquisitions Unlimited. Even though I suggested that second name. Which is way more than 1% less silly, honestly.

Well, if you don't mind RPing every once in a while, the Coruscant Vanguard (guild I was babbling about before with my Jedi in it) seems pretty awesome so far.  They have around 40-50 people (it just seems more ginormous because of alts I think) and 97% of the people I've met so far have been ridiculously friendly.  Some members have ought right just given out free stuff they randomly found and didn't need.  Even though the guild is supposed to be RP-Heavy, I haven't seen too much RP chatter except a person talking in g-chat every once in a whlie.  The guild seems mostly interested in PvP and PvEing it up with an RP event happening here or there.

There are even some members I haven't actually seen RP at all - only chatted with them OOC.  So I'm betting you could possibly get away with making the most basic character concept possible and just RPing it every once in a while if you bump into someone face-to-face.  I get the feeling if they really like you OOC - it won't really matter to them exactly how much RP you're doing, but that's just a guess and I admittedly haven't been around them too long.

If you don't mind giving RP a shot though, I DEFINITELY recommend them.  They're really fun people so far.  http://tcv-guild.shivtr.com/

Also again: I'm soooooooooooooooooooooo sorry for being completely wrong in my assumption that people would be way more active in playing this game. T_T  I didn't really take into consideration all the changes people's lives are going through as we're getting older and stuff. :x

I haven't done anything at all in SWTOR in about a week either. I don't think I'll be sticking with the game. The story is interesting and all, but the way the quests work it is so hard to play with other people, tanking isn't particularly enjoyable for me in the game yet, etc. I might do one more month, but probably not as I've got a kickass new computer and Skyrim to get into.
