So I was going to send an email to everyone about seeing Ant-Man tomorrow but then I figured it might be cooler have a kind of running record of all the shit that we do this year now that Steph and I are in the area.

Anyway tomorrow we're seeing Ant-Man at the Classic Cinemas Lake Theatre - Steph works so it appears that the 7:30 or 9:00 shows are the likely candidates for when we head over.  If she gets out early there is a 5:00 show that should be a bit cheaper because it would be a matinee.

I have obtained fixins for tacos.  I'm tentatively planning a bunch of tacos for about 6:00 but people are welcome to come over whenever - just gimme a ring.  If you want to participate in dinner prep, dessert and booze are always appreciated.  If we go to the earlier show then dinner can be afterwards if people so desire.  I could also just eat all of the tacos.  Both options are on the table.  No pressure.

Edit: Two s's in "dessert."  Please don't bring over a copious amount stereotypical sand and lack of rainfall.

If bananas have potassium, do potatoes have banassium? 6th graders are like sentient balloons. Drifting in any direction, at any speed when given any provocation.

Haha! Either of those show times is fine by me. Kelly and I will show up earlier than 6, so we'll give you a ring when we're on the way. We'll participate in the booze/desert bringings!

Colleen and I will probably show up earlier at some point.

On a side note, since it is summer and even this weekend is stupid hot, a reminder than we are right next to a pool. So if you want to swim feel free to bug us about that. We can only take 3 guests so can't have everyone over at once unfortunately.

Hey, do people have stuff going on this weekend?  Did we want to do a board game night sometime?  I am taking Friday off, actually, so any of the 3 days works for us.  We could travel north, or have the Northerner's bring their vast collection of games to our place.

Hilariously I was just talking to Shieke last night about wanting to do a board game day sometime this weekend (was at Netrunner last night so just never hopped on here). Tonight Shieke's doing a WoW raid per normal. Tomorrow she's going to a concert with some old work friends and I wanted to goto a Netrunner tournament earlier in the day. Sunday though we're both free to do stuff. I'm cool with folks either coming up here or us going over to your place Stoof (I need to clean our place though).

I did get a new game to play! Tiny Epic Galaxies. Watched some videos and it had a solo play I tried and it's pretty fun. Allows play for up to 5 people.

Coolio.  I think we'd also like to try the Order of the Stick game we bought a little while ago.  Seems like it would play similar to Betrayal, but more D&D oriented (not surprising, given the source material).  For 2 to 6 players, so could accommodate all of us.  I will re-look at it in case we want to play it so we're not all in the dark about it.

Doesn't matter to us where we end up, though it seems like we still need to make that decision....

I'll make an executive decision and say Shieke and I's place. Will give me an excuse to clean up. Also D&D at your place next week so use our place this weekend.

EDIT: Also I think I've played the Order of the Stick game once somewhere else. Sounds like fun though! Feel free to bring any games. At some point I would like to play a big fame of Eclipse with everyone now that everyone's got the basic rules down. Don't know if we want to do that this weekend since that'd take up a lot of time.
