So I saw this on io9.   You know the Penny Arcade Automata universe and the Animatrix?

They had a baby that stars Antonio Banderas and it's named after the ...mother?  Tim I need a gender neutral term for "parent" -- get on that.

Anyway here the link the the io9 article that has the trailer.

I guess here it is as well for those who can't be arsed to click a link.

I actually watched that trailer hoping it was actually a movie based on PA's Automata.  Was sorely disappointed when it was not.

Sure thing! It is "parent".

Nice job Tim!  I knew we could count on you.

Disclaimer:  The movie I linked to is NOT based on the Automata universe from Penny Arcade.

So here we go, new Star Wars teaser trailer. You know, just in case the rest of the Internet hasn't informed you of it.

I just want to put this out there:

Mad Max:Fury Road was a better action blockbuster than Avengers: Age of Ultron.  I honestly don't remember the last time I saw an action movie that was both so imaginative and so intense and insane (in a good way).  I've never really seen one of these either, so by no means should you hold off thinking "but I haven't seen Mad Max before."

Kitty had even less experience than I going in and she loved it even more.  She wants to get the soundtrack before our upcoming road-trip so she can listen to it on the Ohio Turnpike yelling "FURY ROAD"

The link said it was the best trailer for Ant-Man and possibly the best trailer ever.

Yup.

The next D&D movie is finally out of arbitration.

The short version: it looks like Sweetpea agreed to give up the rights for an undisclosed sum and being retained as Executive Producers on the Warner Bros. Chainmail project.  Executive Producer is a funny title -- it can mean everything or it can mean nothing, but considering that they are sharing the Producer byline with Hasbro's CEO and chief content officer (CCO?) and the producer of The LEGO Movie and How to Train Your Dragon I can't imagine they're going to get much say.  That's a lot of money and power.

The Warner Bros. Chainmail script was written by the guy who wrote Wrath of the Titans.  Presumably the new one.

No mention of what Universal gets out of the deal, but my guess is nothing -- they've paid Hasbro an enormous amount over the last few years to get out of licensing deals for all of those Hasbro games no one but them and Hasbro thought would ever make good movies, so likely there was some fiscal forgiveness on both sides and they called it a day.
