Thank you for adding the "Remember Me" option! I'll test it out immediately.

In the case of nit picks my small avatar icon is 100x90 pixils. Some places on the site stretch it out to 32x27 and others leave it as-is. Point in case its appearance next to "Hello Tim! Edit your Info | Log Out", on the Latest Updates section of the main page, and in my entry on the Members list are stretched but its appearance in my forum posts are normal.

EDIT: Wrong dimensions, fixed it.

Should be fixed. The problem lied with on some parts of the site I was using different mechanics for making sure someone didn't use too big of an image for the mini-avatar than I wanted them to. I ultimately decided CSS was the right way to go and so therefore, we should be safe in case someone accidentally sets a huge image to their avatar.

Unless they are using IE6. In which case they can go @#!* themselves.

No really. If you are reading this in IE6 please go update your browser for your sake and everyone else on the internet. Failure to do so will result in me crying myself to sleep again.

I'm trying my best to put on a all-smiles, not defensive, support face for this site and I want it to be everything we want it to be and more. Anything from the real minor to the big picture, let me know. I can't promise I'll do it all, or that I'll do it soon, but damn it I can at least try!

Well I realize it is your site but if you'd like some help I offer my services. Database driven websites are one of my projects at work ;) PHP isn't my forte but it's not hard to understand it. Anyways, just throwing that out there.

Oh, other things, can we have the most updated post be at the top? Right now it seems to be just whatever topic was the most recently made. Also my picture is still stretched out even though I have it at 100x91 pixels.

Both of these should be fixed now. Thanks for spotting them both :)

EDITNow, among the things I added today was a 'max players' variable for the games in our database. Now, this provided me with a quandary for MMOs since we don't want to put in the max number of players their servers support, or WoW's 11million+ player base as neither number really helps us. So what I thought I'd do was just have us enter the max party size, although I wonder if it wouldn't be more helpfully to list the max 'Raid' size instead since that's the biggest single-team-organized unit you can form?

Thoughts on that?

On the games page, games are split between multiplayer and singleplayer. Think we could have this on our edit info page as well?

Can the messages take care of indentation of new paragraphs please? It is starting to get annoying remembering to have to put my own html in for it to take care of it.

Also, is there anyway to indicate that there are new messages in the game section of the site? I think that's why I wasn't a huge fan of there still being messages there, there's no way for me to know when there is a new message for a game without having to go look everytime.

The updates section still will alert when a new post is made to the games section of the site. Aside from that I can turn navigating that part of the site like it is a message board again, but I still cannot allow the creation of new topics in it. I'd also need to think of some sort of way to make it clear what the difference between the "games" and "gaming" sections of the message board were if I did that as well.

Perhaps I can have the root page of the "Games" section display all discussions related to games like the "Messages" section used to that way it's not in the message-board part of the site so it's not as weird that you can't create a new topic there?

To answer this I must ask you, do you know anyways to get an HTML <textarea> to recognize hard-returns as a character? That's the reason you have to do it manually atm is because when inputting the text into the database it is just skipping them like they don't exist. Does that sound like there's probably some default PHP 'don't skip white spaces' function that might work here?

nl2br() sounds like it should do the trick. Just take whatever value the textarea is returning and pass it through that.

Well, I have turned on the ability to use enter to cause new lines, but I have to say now that it's in, I really don't care for it's side effects.

I'll let you guys weigh in before I turn it off but if it were up to me, we'd keep using paragraph tags instead of me losing the ability to cleanly organize my post code.
