What follows is a general update as to what's been going on with me in the last few weeks.

First of all, some of you may have noticed my decreased presence on the instant messenger front.  The reason for that is my computer for the last about two weeks was residing in the basement rather than my bed room. I'll explain why in a minute, but because of its new location, I only was around the computer when I was using it.  After all, my basement is no where near as comfortable as my bed room, so if I have to do something else than work the computer, I'd rather be somewhere else.  As a result, I had a few days in there where I didn’t even turn on my computer for more than an hour, let alone leave it on all day.

Now, the reason why my computer was in the basement was because I had set it up next to B’harroth’s new computer.  That’s right, B’harroth, for the first time in a while, owns a computer again.  We went through newegg.com and then I built the machine for him, at the low low cost of a copy of Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow. His machine is a real nice box that is comparable, if not a little bit better than Manchego’s box.  I have to thank him and steinst2’s laptop for showing me how cool a wide-screen monitor can be, and I am glad I told Bruce to order one.  Dawn of War and World of Warcraft look phenomenal on it.  I hope you all enjoy being able to throw down with him without having to lose one of your machines this fall.

Quick note: Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow is very good. I am very worried I’m going to beat it too fast though… like I tend to do with Castlevania’s these days. . .

Anyway, it was fun for a pair of weeks having a sorta mini-lan party every day in the basement with B’harroth.  We played way… way… way too much World of Warcraft though.  He is damn determined to catch up to Kitty, Dominion and I.  We also had a fun actual Lan Party last weekend.  We unfortunately didn’t get the “obligatory” First Person Shooter round in since neither Kitty nor B’harroth have UT2k4 yet, but we still had fun with WoW, Starcraft, and Dawn of War.  If only we’d fought each other in one of those games some point instead of just doing team work, but oh well.

Now the reason I’m delivering the message of B’harroth’s computer and not him is because B’harroth has gone off to Army camp.  Now, this is a sorta pre-ROTC initiation so he tells me it’s not Boot camp or basic.  Really it’s best to think of it as some summer camp with an army theme, like Space Camp but with mortars and rifles.  He’ll be there until mid-July, and I have his address.  If people want to send him mail, shoot me an e-mail and I’ll hook you up.  I hope all goes well for him with that.

Still jobless, but I do have a contract for a web project I have picked up.  I am not allowed to speak much about it, but what I can tell you is I’ll continue to work out of Port Huron for it.  As soon as I get my materials from my client (who is waiting on their client I understand), I’ll be getting to work.  I’m kinda glad they didn’t throw anything at me until after B’harroth left, means I’ll have an easier time getting work done instead of ending up playing WoW with him more..

Oh! And I finished Deus Encarmine and Deus Sanguineous. I enjoyed both immensely, although reading them increased my loathing for the Imperium of Man, while still somehow increasing my love of the Blood Angels Chapter.  Also, the Word Bearers are assholes, and when Leman Russ is done using Meltabombs on the Eye of Terror, he needs to do that to the Malestrom. Stupid, Stupid Word Bearers!

Finally, if you guys haven’t heard yet, the future looks bright for RTSes come next Spring.  No, Blizzard isn’t giving us another one unfortunately; it seems WoW is just as good as stealing all of their staff as the game is at stealing its player’s souls.  However, the guys who gave us Total Annihilation have come together to form Gas Powered Games, and they’re gonna throw us Supreme Commander come next spring. They released a trailer for download on their site and I have to say, now that I’ve seen it in action, I am a believer. It looks beautiful, and just absolutely fun to boot. If you guys haven’t looked, I recommend you go and check out the site.

You may like to know I have picked a few titles for potential FGC use.  As soon as I get motivated to do the awards that are long overdue, I’ll get to that. Also, are you guys okay if I stop listing the exact scores that people got on their awards, and just state their username, game, and the award type?
