KILLSHIP flash edition

It is with great super happy awesome fun time pride that I announce the first ever flash game.  In High School I used to write games for my TI-83 calculator.  The games grew in popularity until I moved on to the TI-86 and composed my most complex game to date: Battle Arena 86.

However, when my TI-83 died, many of my first games died with it.  One such games was Killship.  It is with great pleasure that I present to you the alpha release of KILLSHIP! Flash Edition!

This game is in alpha for a few reasons, most significantly because it's not feature complete.  I'd like to go back through and add music and sounds and animations and better graphics as time goes on.  I'd also like to do more play testing to balance things out.  Eventually I'd also like to attach it to my database for high score tracking and perhaps other features.

For now though you get this bare-bones playable version that basically is a GUI version of the original calculator game.  I hope you enjoy it!

Polls: Brawl Wins, Now for Section 9!

Well, Super Smash Brothers: Brawl took the win in our last poll.  As much as I personally am more pumped for Starcraft II, Brawl's appeal is to a broader audience, so this result doesn't suprise me much.  Let's just hope both games turn out as good as we hope!

On that note, our next poll, fueled entirely by my enjoyment of Solid State Society, shall be a Ghost In the Shell poll!  Just vote for your favorite member of Section 9, doesn't matter from which universe of GitS you are pulling your reason from.

I would be surprised if Major Mokoto Kusinagi doesn't win, but I would be more interested to see who pulls second.

GitS:SAC Solid State Society

So I'm at Meijer last night buying groceries and stop by the electronics section to look for iPod headphone replacements as mine are starting to get worn out.  While I don't find what I'm looking for, a quick glance at the DVDs reveals that Meijer has a new copy of the GitS: SAC movie, Solid State Society.  I picked up without hesitation since I am, after all, a big GitS fan (at least in terms of the original manga and Stand Alone Complex).

The movie is great.  You know those awesome complex plot archs in SAC they do that sometimes span like 4 or more episodes?  This movie is like one of those, wrapped up in one movie, picking up where GitS:SAC 2ndGIG left off.  The ending leaves you thinkin' too, just like most great episodes of GitS:SAC.  If you get a chance to see this and you are a GitS:SAC fan, do so.

Welcome to the new template replacing crimson night!  Just like before there are some kinks I just can't test on my testing site so I might have little things that need to be fixed.  I know that the Gallery needs to be looked into and hopefully I'll fix that soon.

So!  How do you like the new digs?
