Okay instead we'll do Obversity at Newgrounds instead.  Flip the panels you can to try and get the biggest combo.  Color matching again.  You know the drill.

This Challenge ends November 9th 2007 at midnight EST.

ABORTED CHALLENGE: Cubitsu 2

And now our first puzzle challenge of season 2, Cubitsu 2 at Armor Games!  Try and match stars and not skulls!  If the meter says "winning" you win when the moves are gone.  Please note that you need to click the "end game" button to view your score when you lose or win to view your score.  The tutorial will help you figure it out if that's confusing.

EDIT: This challenge has been invalidated due to an unknown scoring problem.  A new challenge is pending.

And the betas end

Today both the Hellgate: London and the Tabula Rasa betas end.  Between these ending and Universe at War never working for me, I'm down to one beta from four.  I fell like my "normally-scheduled-gaming-patterns may continue."

Some quick asessments:
  • Hellgate:London is incredably fun and fuses action game gameplay with the fun parts of RPG elements while avoiding the grind-tastic feel most RPG video games have.  As a Beta, I have wished HGL ran better on my system, but the quality of support on the forums was absolutely awesome.  Heck, when things went south they passed me Mythos, which makes me happy.
  • Tabula Rasa is a interesting game that had it come out last year when all I had was WoW,  I would be pretty excited about it.  As it stands, HGL is just more fun and accessable.  Accessability and animation quality are really the only issues I can take with Tabula Rasa.  It didn't crash as much as HGL did for me, but it also didn't flow as nice or have as nice of support.
  • Universe at War didn't work.  Can't say.
  • Mythos beta is ongoing!  I'm looking forward to trying out the new content!
Both Hellgate and Tabula Rasa are out next week.  Hellgate I've already pre-ordered.  Tabula Rasa has failed to convince me it's worth sending my monthly to them instead of Blizzard.  I just wish HGL had a proper screenshot feature so I could share some stuff of my blademaster before she was deleted.

RF Online is now 100% Free

So some of you may recall a sci-fi MMO I was curious about a bit ago where the biggest thing was a three faction pvp beat down between short people who pilot giant robots, elves that summon monsters, and evil robots with large launchers.  The game was called RF Online.  This game, according to ads, is now 100% free.  I'll probably use this as a chance to check this out sometime in the next two days.  I'll keep you up to do date on how that goes.
